Fat Transfer to Hip Dips

In some people, despite the fit body, the armpits are sunken and cause the buttocks and thighs to look out of proportion!

Essentially, hip dips refer to the slight indentations that can sometimes be seen right at the top of the hips, on the outsides.

The scientific term for hip dips is called “trochanteric depression”. Another popular term is “violin hip”.

This hip dips may be inherited, and sometimes regular exercise can help alleviate this problem.

According to trainers and fitness gurus, these dips cannot be “fixed” by simply working out your glutes and trying to beef up your thighs or buttocks. Hip dips are either a hereditary thing that simply can’t be changed, or they may be due to excess fat. If the latter is the case, sometimes diet and light cardio exercise can help reduce the appearance of hip dips.

How To Get Rid Of Hip Dips?                   Fat Transfer to Hip Dips

If you have hip dips and you’d like to FIX them, you can use plastic surgery. This procedure is straightforward.

In order to fix trochanteric depression or violin hips, you’ll need to fat transfer surgery. This surgery actually involves two procedures: liposuction or lipomatic and fat grafting or fat injection. Liposuction harvests the fat from another area of your body — usually the abdomen or love handles and the fat

grafting procedure puts the fat where it will look more attractive.

When fat is being grafted onto the hip and buttocks area, most surgeons refer to the procedure as a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

For women who want to get rid of this depression, there are ways to help shape the outer hip and produce a more hourglass-like figure and reduce the appearance of the hip dip.

Our recommendation is to start with a fat transfer, if there is enough quantity. Because fats are taken from your body, there is a lesser risk of complications associated with fat grafting. Fat injection is a method that many people today choose for a more beautiful body contour.

While not 100% of the fat will stay, studies have clearly shown that a significant amount of fat is retained after fat transfer. This amount depends on various factors such as the individual’s own body, the doctor’s skill and following the doctor’s advice during recovery. More than one fat transfer may be required to achieve a more prominent volume addition to the hip region.

Keep in mind, however, that whenever fat is being grafted onto a new area of the body, surgeons expect that only about 70% of the fat will “survive” in the new location. The rest will be reabsorbed by the body. In some rare cases, even less of the fat will survive.

Fat injection into the buttocks should be done by a specialist. To solve the problem of dimples, fats are removed from the abdomen and flanks by lipomatic or liposuction. For this purpose, some small holes are made in the abdomen to access the fat in these areas and the fat is sucked with a PAL. After removing the fat from the abdomen and flanks, fats are prepared for injection into other areas, including the buttocks. According to the doctor, they are injected into the armpit area of the thigh.

This type of cosmetic surgery should be performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia by a skilled plastic surgeon.
